A Conversation on Leadership, Service, and Democracy with Allen Kukovich

At a moment when trust in government is under strain, Allen Kukovich's new book, The Work Is Never Done, inspires readers to recognize their power to make a difference, the potential of communities to create change, and why democracy is worth the work.

Kukovich demonstrates how principled, bipartisan leadership can improve people’s lives. As the architect of Pennsylvania’s Children’s Health Insurance Program, the model for the federal CHIP program, he helped transform children’s healthcare nationwide while championing ethics reform, disability rights, criminal justice reform, and protections for vulnerable families.
